WHY: Because employment of healthcare occupations is projected to grow 14 percent by 2028, much faster than the average for all occupations, adding about 1.9 million new jobs. ... This projected growth is mainly due to an aging population, leading to greater demand for healthcare services.

About the symposium:
A diversified team of healthcare professionals will make presentations on their specific occupations. They will state the rewards derived from fulfilling their patient’s needs and inform students of the pre-requisites to succeed in each chosen profession.
The symposium is free and opened to college-bound high school students who are enrolled in challenging STEM courses, and who are maintaining a GPA of 2.8 or higher. This symposium is specifically designed for students who are interested in exploring careers in healthcare.
Space is limited and it’s only available on a first-come, first-service basis.
